  • What is home care?

    People want to live where they feel most comfortable - in their home. At Anova Care we offer a range of services, from basic companionship, to personal care, respite care, and even around-the-clock care, that allows people to safely stay in their own home. Our professionally trained caregivers are experienced in providing elderly personal care. We also provide care for those living with a disability, recovering from an injury, those who are transitioning from hospital-to-home, or those living with a chronic condition such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

  • What type of insurance does Anova Care accept?

    We accept most long-term care insurance, Medicaid insurance, and VA Benefits. Talk to one of our care specialists today to learn more.

  • What is Anova's minimum service time? Why do you have the minimum?

    Most of our clients are subject to the 4-hour minimum service time. Because most of our caregivers travel to care for our clients, we try to make their time worthwhile by setting the minimum service time.

  • What's your rate? Can I afford to hire Anova caregivers?

  • Who are Anova caregivers? How can I trust them?

    At Anova Care, we are a team of caring and compassionate professionals working together to provide the best possible care for you and your loved ones. Each Anova caregiver goes through an extensive screening process. During this process, we perform multiple interviews and reference verification checks. Our caregivers are required to pass state and national background checks.

    We desire each caregiver to show personal traits that match our beliefs and mission to provide the highest standard of person-centered care. We will schedule an in-take meeting with the client, their family, and the caregiver to ensure that we create the right match for our clients. We train all Anova caregivers to follow the highest ethical, privacy, legal, and emergency procedures, and to provide the highest standards of care.

  • What can you do for me or my family? What does the service look like?

    Because every client (and family) has different needs, our care experts design customized care plans to match every individual need and find caregivers that are most suitable to perform the care that is needed.

  • What is the goal of home health care?

    Each patient has a unique and individual goal which may include the following:
    • Become as self-sufficient as possible.
    • Improve your outcomes.
    • Maintain or improve your current condition or level of function.
    • Reduce your risk of hospitalization.
    • Regain your independence.
    • Slow a decline in your health status.

  • What home health care services are available?

    Anova Care offers a variety of services to meet the unique needs of each individual in our care. Services available include: Chronic illness monitoring and management, personal care and companionship, in-home physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and skilled nursing.

  • How do I start services?

    If you feel that home health care services might be right for you or a loved one, you will have to obtain orders from your primary care provider. If you are unsure of how to obtain orders, our team would be happy to assist you. Once orders are received, our care team will work with you to schedule a time for a home assessment to evaluate your condition and needs.

  • What can I expect during a home health care visit?

    Each client's home health care visit will look a little bit different depending on their condition, abilities, and needs. Some things you can expect with a home health care visit include:
    • Questions about your health condition, pain, and progress and tips on how to manage your condition and move forward.
    • Vital sign checks.
    • Coordination of your care with you, your primary care provider, therapy providers, and other family of your choice.
    • Medication management and education.
    • Skilled nursing care, physical, occupational, or speech therapy, and home health aide services.
    • Tips and education on how to safely manage your condition and remain independent at home.

  • Who pays for home health services?

    Home health care is usually less expensive as care in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. It may be covered by Medicare, VA, private pay, or insurance plans. Our team will work with you to determine your eligibility and level of coverage.

  • Do I qualify?

    After we receive a referral, a skilled clinician will come to your home and determine, based on your insurance, whether you qualify. Some, but not all, insurance requires that you are homebound to receive home health care services.

  • Being homebound means:

    • You need help from a person and/or device to leave your home safely.
    • It takes considerable effort for you to leave your home.
    • You leave your home infrequently only for short periods of time.
