Companion Care
No one should feel alone in their own home

The quietest hardship of aging isn’t physical. It’s the silence — the house that used to hum with life, the phone that rings less often, the days that blur together. Loneliness can weigh as heavily as any illness.
Companion care is our answer to that silence: a warm, friendly person who shows up, sits down, and genuinely enjoys your company. Someone to talk with, laugh with, take a walk with. Anova Care began with one family’s caregiving story, and we learned early that presence is powerful medicine.

Who it’s for
Companion care is for seniors in Denver and Colorado Springs who live alone or whose family lives far away. It’s for widows and widowers adjusting to the quiet, for people in the early stages of dementia who do best with engagement and routine, and for anyone who simply misses having someone to share the day with.
You don’t need a medical reason to want company. Wanting it is reason enough.
How to start
Call (888) 929-2050 and tell us a little about your loved one — or yourself. What do they enjoy? What does a good day look like? We’ll match them with a companion whose personality fits, and arrange visits on whatever schedule feels right, from a few hours a week to daily company. Many families pay through long-term care insurance, VA benefits, Medicaid, or IHSS; others pay privately. We’ll explain every option clearly.
Frequently asked questions
Is companion care medical care?
No — and that’s the point. There are no clinical tasks here, just human connection: conversation, engagement, outings, and presence. If health needs arise, we can easily add personal care or home health services.
What does a companion actually do during a visit?
Whatever makes the day brighter. Some clients love a walk and a chat over coffee. Others want a card game, help writing letters, or someone to watch a ballgame with. We learn what brings joy and build visits around it.
Can the companion take my loved one out?
Yes — outings are one of the best parts. Lunch, the park, appointments, or just a scenic drive. Your companion provides door-through-door support, so it’s safe and unhurried.
Will it be the same companion each time?
Yes. Friendship needs consistency. We match carefully and keep the same companion coming, so a real relationship can grow.
